Overview

Dr Herath graduated in Medicine in 1982 and obtained his Masters degree in Community Medicine in 1993. Since then he has worked in many areas of Medicine. He further trained in New Zealand (In Auckland, Middlemore and Hamilton hospitals). 

 

He obtained his Fellowship in General Practice from New Zealand and practiced as a full time GP in New Zealand in various practices until he emigrated to Australia in 2012. He obtained the Australian Fellowship in General Practice also in 2012.  

 

Since then he has been working both in rural and metropolitan areas in Australia as a full time General Practitioner. 

 

Dr Herath has a wealth of experience in all areas of General Practice, his areas of interest are respiratory and emergency medicine.
