Dr Bhavna Mishra has more than 3 decades of experience working in the medical field. She acquired a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and attained her postgraduate studies in India. She specialised in the field of Ophthalmology in 1991. She consulted as an ophthalmologist in India till relocating to the United Kingdom in 1996. She took a break for a few years to look after her children while in the UK.
Dr Mishra is a proficient doctor in Adelaide who aims to support patients to attain the best quality of life possible from diagnosis to recovery. She came here in 1999 and worked for 1 and a half years at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) in the Department of Ophthalmology. Later, she joined the busy Emergency Department of the TQEH and worked for 11 years, initially, as a medical officer and later as a senior medical officer. She actively takes part in the teaching and training of medical students, ED interns and RMO’s.
In 2011, Bhavna joined the GP training program and worked for 3 years as a GP registrar in different clinics. Afterward, she received her fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). She participated in courses at the Women’s and Children’s hospital where she completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) as well.
Dr Mishra is extremely inviting, friendly and provides detailed information and suggestions on maintaining good health. She is keenly interested in Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Dermatology and Women’s Health.
As a bilingual doctor, Dr Bhavna Mishra speaks Hindi and Gujarati in addition to English.
