Dr Sadek Hamied

Dr Sadek Hamied is a holistic and integrative medicine advocate and practitioner. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Baghdad medical school in 1997. He also completed advanced training in Critical Care and Pain Medicine. In 2007, he relocated to Australia and finished his Australian equivalent exams.

Sadek commenced working at Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney and undertook advanced training in Chronic Pain Management. Afterwards, he completed training in Emergency Medicine for 2 years. He received his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2015. He decided to move to the Gold Coast in 2016 after becoming a fully qualified GP.

Dr Hamied is a highly skilled doctor in Southport who is passionately interested in Acute Pain Management. He attained a clinical Master degree in Pain Management and Neuroplasticity from the University of Sydney. He also works as a supervisor and trainer for trainee doctors and medical students. He especially focuses on evidence-based proactive and preventative management and his work is solely based on it.

Dr Sadek Hamied is bilingual and fluent in English as well as Arabic.
