Dr James Chanaka

Dr James Chanaka specialises in Mental Health and Chronic Disease Management. He is adept at helping patients who are overweight and is very helpful with obesity issues.

James graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Zimbabwe in 2003. He received his certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in 2012. He obtained his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014.

Dr Chanaka is a passionate doctor in Petrie who always puts patients first and is dedicated to ensuring that their experience is the best it can be. He enjoys all aspects of working with and caring for people in the community.

Dr James Chanaka spends his spare time focusing on his fitness and regularly does physical exercise. He enjoys playing soccer and tennis. He is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Shona.
