Overview
Abdul was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and studied medicine in Dublin, Ireland. After receiving his Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ireland, he moved to sunny Queensland where he did his internship at Redcliffe Hospital. Returning to South Africa he furthered his medical experience with terms at Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto and Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria. Upon his return to Australia he worked at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and did locum work in the Brisbane region. During a six month term Charleville, Abdul met his wife, a teacher at a local primary school. Together they moved to the Bayside and bought his practice in Wynnum. After 20 years of being a solo practitioner, he joined the Wynnum & Bayside Medical Practice in 2001, later amalgamating with Manly Village Medical in 2017.
An accomplished home handyman, Abdul’s other interests include gardening, cooking, camping, travelling and listening to music, particularly artists from the 1970s. Abdul enjoys all aspects of general practice and performs minor surgical procedures.

Located just off the Esplanade in Manly, we are one block up from the largest marina precinct in the southern hemisphere. There is ample parking available around our practice, and for those using public transport, the 224 and N226 buses stop right out front. We are ideally located for those in Manly, but also surrounding areas of Wynnum, Manly West, Wynnum West, Lota, Wakerley, Ransome, Hemmant, Tingalpa, Gumdale, Thorneside, Belmont, and Birkdale.
