Overview
Dr Kavitha is a well liked GP. She has been a GP for over 10 years now. Like most primary care physicians, she is experienced in the treatment and management of various chronic medical conditions. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine and loves getting to know each of her patients. Dr Kavitha has a special interest in Women's and children's health. She completed her primary medical qualification in 2003. She did her internship at the Mount Gambier Hospital in SA and has worked at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in SA, and Monash Medical Centre, VIC before moving to Darwin in 2010. She obtained her Fellowship in General Practice in 2013. She has family in Brisbane and she moved to Brisbane in 2020 to be closer to her family.
She has gained clinical acumen in Internal Medicine, Emergency medicine, Surgery, Mental Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology as well as Paediatrics. She is also committed to educating medical students and GP Reigstrars.

Directions and parking
Located in the heart of Chermside, we are just down the road from the Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre. On Corrie Street there is ample parking out the front for our patients, and for those using public transport there are a number of buses that stop nearby, including the 320, 325, 337, and 353. We would be well suited to any patients in the areas of Chermside, Wavell Heights, Kedron, Chermside South, Chermside West, Aspley and Geebung.
