Overview
Dr Chirath Wijesurendere (MD, FRACGP) graduated in 2006 from the People's Friendship University of Russia in Moscow and returned to his hometown in Sri Lanka where he spent the next five years working in public and private hospitals. In 2011 he moved to Sydney Australia and started working in Liverpool Hospital.
Dr Chirath has over 12 years’ experience as a medical officer. He worked in Intensive Care Units and Anaesthesia in both Liverpool and Blacktown hospitals before joining general practice in 2014.
He is experienced in Gynaecology, Obstetrics and in Paediatrics. He is fluent in three languages; English, Sinhalese and Russian.
Dr Chirath enjoys the diversity of working as a GP where he is faced with different conditions every day. He loves taking care of his patients and the most rewarding experience is to see them healthy and well.
