Dr Ziad Fashka

Dr Ziad Fashka is a General Practitioner and Director of Hope Health.

Hope Health is a company that provides multiple health services through different businesses either in sole ownership or in partnership.

Dr Ziad Fashka holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Aleppo University and received his certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in the year 2000. He obtained his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2006. Throughout his career, he worked as a Supervisor, Clinical Supervisor, General Practitioner and Director in various locations in New South Wales.

Dr Fashka’s vast experience set him apart as a highly competent GP in Thornleigh. He is particularly interested in Aged Care Health and medical services. These services includes:

• Improving medical care of the Aged Care resident including streamlining and optimising processes for doctors working in this area.
• Palliative care and advanced care directive.
• Reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and health services.
• Reducing polypharmacy and optimise quality use of medications.
• Innovation in medical care including virtual and remote consultations.

Zaid takes a keen interest in medical teaching as well and he is actively involved in the education and training of the young doctors. He also supervises General Practitioner Registrars during their training. He provides his services for supervising the students of the University of New South Wales and Macquarie University who are in their year 5 and year 6.

Dr Ziad Fashka is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Arabic.
