Overview
Dr Kirsten Patterson completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2007. She was in the teaching profession before becoming a doctor and has worked as a High School Science teacher in the Tweed and overseas.
Kirsten is still passionate about education and is dedicated to continuing her education as well as enhancing her skills in General Practice. She also received her fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Patterson is a compassionate doctor in Pottsville who is keenly interested in Women’s Health and always pursuing further her study in this field. She also takes a special interest in Geriatric Medicine, Paediatric, Adolescent Health and Skin Cancer Medicine. She is passionate about Travel Medicine as well.
Kirsten’s commitment to mentor and educate the future generation of doctors is because of her love for teaching and being a former teacher. She actively takes part in the supervision and training of medical students as well as general practice trainees.
Dr Kirsten Patterson enjoys working in all areas of general practice and loves taking care of individuals, families and patients of all age groups.
