Lara Family Dentist was established by Dr. Moe Hagras in 2021, with an aim of providing quality care at affordable prices to the local community in Lara, Corio, Little River, Avalon and Bannockburn.

When you become a patient at our clinic, you will be treated like we would treat our own family. That means everything is explained to you in a way you’ll understand. All treatment options will be given to you before getting started on any procedure. You’ll know the ins and outs and be able to decide on your own which choice you’d like to make.

We know that often dentistry costs can be unexpected - so we offer payment plans. We offer bulk billing for kids dental CDBS under Medicare for families that qualify. And we process health funds on the spot.

We also have a fixed price check & clean including xrays for $149. For kids without insurance or CDBS, its just $99.

Our services

Dental emergencies can be both scary and painful. They may range from a sore tooth that developed over the last several hours (or days) to biting down on something and feeling an immediate crack. When it comes to emergency dentistry, it’s best to be seen as soon as possible. We commit to do everything we can to get you out of pain or discomfort quickly so that you can get back to normal.

If you need an emergency dental appointment on a Saturday or Sunday, you can call us, or book online.Sunday appointments do require a $200 non refundable deposit to confirm the appointment, which is applied toward the cost of your visit. Sunday have a $50 surcharge per patient.

Dental Crowns (caps) are often used for discoloured, misshapen, broken and heavily decayed teeth. They’re also helpful if you have a very large filling where the tooth is cracking, or if you’ve recently completed root canal treatment. Crowns cover, protect and strengthen teeth with significant structural damage.

Fixed dental bridges are multi-tooth restorations that fill in the gap caused by missing teeth. They’re supported on either end by a healthy tooth. The prep and placement process is identical to getting a crown. Bridges can also be suspended on top of dental implants.

Root Canal Treatment

Most people are surprised to learn that modern root canal treatment can comfortably ease the source of your chronic tooth pain. Thanks to the effectiveness of the numbing medication, you don’t have to worry about any discomfort. Since the nerve of the tooth is effectively removed, the tooth will no longer be able to feel any sensitivity.
