We have recently launched a newsletter on the website for our Footscray dental practice. The theme of our first newsletter, which you can find on our website, is “Teeth for Life”. In the first newsletter issue we talk about some reasons you may not be happy with your smile. We go over reasons such as discoloured teeth, missing teeth, as well as alignment and spacing. We then review some of the treatment options that can remedy these concerns. The options we discuss include porcelain veneers, tooth colour restoration, and bridges and implants.

We also discuss the early years of a child’s life and why they are very important for forming positive dental habits for ongoing oral health. We talk about introducing healthy dental habits to children, the importance of early preventative care for their teeth and gums, and why it is important for adults to do the majority of the brushing but to also make sure to let your children try to brush as well.

Finally, our first issue also addresses your diet and how this can affect your oral health. We discuss in detail what you should know about sugar, about acid and what it means if you keep fat and sugar out of your diet. We recommend two websites for more information at the end of our newsletter.
