Dr Omar Awni

Dr Omar Awani graduated with his degree in dentistry from the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry in the early 1990s. After graduating, Omar completed his New Zealand Dental Council Registration exams and has worked in private dental clinics in New Zealand and Australia.

Omar is a Carlton dentist with experience in all aspects of his profession. Omar’s special interest is in cosmetic dentistry, helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. Other interests include preventative and restorative dentistry, and crown and bridge work. Omar is a particularly good listener, believing firmly in patient-centred care.

He prides himself in ensuring patients understand their dental health and care more fully. Omar is very easy to talk to, and his relaxed manner helps to ensure even more anxious patients feel at ease. Away from dentistry. Omar loves spending time with his family, and he is passionate about football.
