Overview

Oral Health Therapists (OHT) are University trained and nationally registered dental practitioners who are dual qualified as Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. Oral Health Therapists can perform many common dental procedures including but not limited to preventive dental treatment such as oral cancer screening, scale and clean, periodontal (gum) assessment and treatment, placing fissure sealants, taking radiographs, teeth whitening and more complex procedures such as placing temporary and permanent fillings, placing stainless steel crowns on baby teeth as well as baby teeth extractions.

 

An Oral Health Therapist with Adult Scope can also provide above treatment on adults as well as children.

 

Xuru has completed two Bachelor degrees at University of Newcastle and is registered as Oral Health Therapist with Adult Scope with a strong focus on disease prevention and oral health promotion. Xuru is very passionate about helping patients particularly those with dental anxiety to achieve excellent oral health and make each dental appointment a pleasant visit.
