Joanne is an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Joanne works with adults of all ages and has extensive experience the areas of anxiety, mood disorders (including depression), adjustment to life transitions, chronic illness, pain management, trauma and grief and loss. Joanne believes in creating a safe emotional space whilst working alongside her clients to help them achieve meaningful change in their everyday life.


Joanne has undertaken training in evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Schema therapy, Dialectical behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR). Joanne combines aspects from these therapeutic approaches to formulate an individualised treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals.


Joanne is warm, compassionate and would love to work with you to overcome life’s many challenges. Joanne sees therapy as an opportunity for you to engage in empathic self-reflection to promote a deeper sense of understanding of your relationship with both yourself and others.


Clinical Experience and background


Joanne completed her honours and master’s degrees at Curtin University of technology. She has over 8 years’ experience in inpatient and outpatient public health services, having worked throughout many of the hospitals in WA. She has specialist skills in the areas of medical rehabilitation and treatment of complex comorbid mental and physical health conditions.


Joanne also has extensive experience working with older adults and families that have be impacted by cognitive impairment, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She provides ongoing education and information sessions within the public health system to patients recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Joanne’s passion and specific areas of interest are in relationship difficulties, adjustment to life transitions, chronic illness, medical rehabilitation and complex mental health conditions.

Directions and parking

Ample parking is available onsite at all of our practices and we are located close to public transport.

Getting here by public transport

There is a bus stop very close by, and we are within easy walking distance from the Subiaco and Daglish Train Stations, both approximately 10 minutes walk.

If you are travelling by train, the No.97 bus will take you from Subiaco Train Station along Rokeby Road, and drop you off near Salvado.

Parking/Disabled Access

There is short-term (1 hour) parking on Rokeby Road near Salvado. There are 2 car bays set aside in the basement of our building with a lift to both floors. The basement is accessed from the laneway behind Salvado. Please call reception if you need to access this facility.
