Dr Glenn McKay consults and operates at both The Canberra Hospital and National Capital Private Hospital in Garran, ACT. He has been in practice since 2008, firstly in Wellington, New Zealand, then in the ACT from 2014. Dr McKay has extensive training in the management of simple and complex chest surgery. His postgraduate fellowship training included time at Greenlane Cardiac Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He undertook 18 months of post-Fellowship training in the USA at the University of Virginia (complex thoracic surgery) and the Emory Clinic, Atlanta (adult cardiac surgery).

With local and overseas training and dual Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Fellowship in both General and Cardiothoracic Surgery, he is well qualified to consult on all aspects of adult heart and lung surgery.

Dr McKay is concerned about the increasing cost of healthcare for Australians and as such offers No Gap billing for the vast majority of his patients.
