Medical Emergency Solutions (MES) was created by nine emergency physicians in November of 2000 to service the growing need for emergency medical advice and other services in remote areas throughout Australia.
Since January 2001, we have been providing a 24-hour emergency telemedicine advice service to paramedics based in mining sites throughout Western Australia. This has been very well received and the number of serviced sites is expanding. We also have a keen interest in medical education at all levels and in the setting up and running of remote area health care facilities.
MES has a close working relationship and strategic partnership with St. John Ambulance (WA) Industrial Services and with Health for Industry (HFI), a part of the Health Services Australia (HSA) group. Together we provide a ’one stop shop’ for industrial sites in remote Australia. HFI provide all pre employment medical needs, drug screening and occupational health services. St John Ambulance supply experienced paramedics, set up of on site health care facilities including equipment, consumables and ambulance. MES supply the 24 hours medical back up to the paramedics and assist in coordination of retrieval services for sick patients.
