RANZCOG Diploma Training Program

This is a diploma qualification for general practitioners who wish to obtain further post-graduate training in obstetrics and family planning.

Training is of six months duration.

  1. Six months working in an accredited obstetrics and gynaecology hospital
  2. Completion of required lecture course series
  3. Logbook and completion of supervised procedures
  4. Examination

The assessment requirements are set by the Joint Consultative Committee on Obstetrics (JCCO), a tripartite committee of the RANZCOG, the RACGP and ACRRM.

RANZCOG Advanced Diploma Training Program

This qualification is awarded in recognition of training over and above the DRANZCOG. It acknowledges the attainment of skills in advanced obstetrics and gynaecology, which will be practised predominantly by rural GPs.
