“Better patient outcomes through communication.”
I undertook my basic medical training in Cape Town, South Africa. After a broad medical experience in the UK, I entered Specialist training in Emergency Medicine in 1998 in Australia. Following a further period of additional training in Paediatrics in the UK, I returned to Perth and completed my specialist training in 2004. I have enjoyed a wide experience at 3 of the busiest Emergency Departments in Perth, and currently split my time between a general adult and a tertiary paediatric hospital.

The practice of Emergency Medicine involves a broad range of medical conditions in adults and children, and we generalists embrace them all... Procedures performed in our Emergency Department range from life-saving Critical Care interventions, to minor procedures such as suturing wounds and removing splinters.
My main non-clinical interests relate to web-development and Medical Education. I am currently co-ordinating a large clinical trial to assess steroid treatment regimes in croup.
